Em and Ed are the only two Grey Beings on their fleet who are capable of experiencing emotions. Em has had to hide and repress their emotions from the rest of the fleet in order to not be executed, suffering alone in isolation for as long as they’ve been alive.
Em’s true age is a mystery, potentially the oldest of the Greys on the ship.
